Truemed uses the SKU as the primary identifier to verify product eligibility during checkout.

When a customer selects “Truemed – Pay with HSA/FSA,” we use the SKU of each item in the cart to determine whether it qualifies for HSA/FSA payment.

Why SKU?

SKUs provide the most consistent and reliable way to match your products to the eligibility rules set in your Truemed product configuration. Product titles, variant IDs, and product IDs are not used for this purpose.

Best Practices:

• Ensure each product has a unique, consistent SKU in Shopify.

• If you're updating SKUs or launching new eligible products, let us know so we can keep your eligibility settings up to date.
